Springtime in Beijing

Yes, the seasons are finally a-changin'! While I was fighting a vicious cold in minus temperatures only three weeks ago, we're now definitely and permanently over zero, with today's highest temperature being a whopping 16 degrees. Very pleasant indeed. When I was walking towards the subway earlier on, I even heard a bunch of baby birdies chirping from a nearby tree (and this time it was most definitely not the sound of some poor old, cardboard-tormented bicycle begging for mercy).

It looks like the the days of numb fingers and frozen laundry on the balcony are over and won'treturn until November or so. I think I can just hear the summer clothes in my wardrobe squealing i delight.

Now bring on the sand storms!
