Now, however, I cannot resist the opportunity to boast about another glorious 4 consecutive days off that will be spent relaxing, chilling and, well, relaxing. Himself came down form Shenyang last night, and today we'll probably look at Beijing Zoo- that is, both the zoo and the zoo market, the latter being full of gloriously cheap "brand name" clothing. Himself said he needs a pair of runners and wouldn't mind getting fake ones, which is all the excuse I need to embark on a shameless shopping spree. The Summer Palace is on tomorrow's agenda and should have become even more of a sight since I last saw it in January. On Monday or Tuesday we may make our way out to what has been dubbed Beijing's best amusement park, Happy Valley. Of course, the weekend's most important date will be Sunday night. Or rather Monday morning, 2:45 am local time, when, in faraway Klagenfurt, Austria, Germany will kick off their first EURO 2008 match against Poland. Can absolutely not wait! If I'll be able to stay awake, that is of course.
Check back soon for some zoo, Summer Palace and other pictures!
Bis dann,
Nadine
Oh, by the way- the reason why I'm off for four days is that it's the Dragon Boat Festival :)
